Jenny’s Quarter of a Century B-day
Birthdays are a fun way to celebrate and enjoy each others’ company amidst the busyness and work. This year for Jenny’s birthday, we invited some of our students we all interact with a lot to help us make jiaozi (饺子, Chinese dumplings) and to celebrate Jenny’s birthday together. As we were making jiaozi, some of the students also worked on making a long, long noodle with part of the dough to give to Jenny because a common Chinese tradition is to eat one long continuous noodle as a symbol of long-life and happiness. It is one of the fun and simple traditions we can enjoy while in China.
After enjoying a great meal together, we also had a time to give Jenny some birthday presents, and then also have fun hanging out, talking, and playing some Just Dance on the Wii.
